When it comes to solo travel, one question that often comes up is “Who clicks your pictures?” It can be challenging to get great shots when you’re traveling alone, but with the right setup and some clever hacks, it’s totally possible. In this post, I’ll share my camera setup and supporting crew for capturing every solo travel adventure. From my digital camera and action camera to my smartwatch and trusty tripod, I have everything I need to get the perfect shot. Keep reading to learn more about my setup and some of my tried-and-true travel hacks.

Here’s my camera setup:

1. Sony A7 rii: This digital photo and video camera is a high-quality option for capturing stunning shots. It has a full-frame sensor and fast autofocus, making it great for a variety of situations.

2. GoPro Hero 8: This action camera is perfect for capturing exciting videos on the go. It’s waterproof and has several stabilization modes, so you can get smooth footage even in rough conditions.

3. iPhone 11: These days, smartphones are a crucial part of our travel toolkit. The iPhone 11 is a great option for taking pictures, videos, and selfies, and it’s easy to share your content on social media.

And how do I take pictures without someone else’s help? I use the following camera holders:

4. Gorilla tripod: This sturdy tripod can hold all three of my cameras, making it a versatile option for getting the perfect shot. It can be fixed to any location, so you can set it up on a rock, road, or pillar.

5. MSmart: This smartwatch from Mobilla has a shutter feature that I use to take pictures with my iPhone. It’s a convenient way to get a shot without having to ask someone else to take it for you.

6. 10-second timer on my Sony A7 r ii: Sometimes, I use the 10-second timer on my digital camera to take a picture. I set the timer and move into position, and the camera snaps the shot automatically.

7. A random guy: When all else fails, I ask a kind stranger to snap a picture for me. This is a great backup plan if you don’t have any of the other gadgets with you, all you need is to train him a bit, and know the frame

But my team of gadgets doesn’t stop there. I also bring along the following supporting crew on my trips:

1. MPower 712: This 10000mAh PD power bank from Mobilla is essential for keeping my devices charged while I’m on the go. It can charge my iPhone 11 up to 80% 2–3 times, so I never have to worry about running out of juice.

2. MCharge 701: This PD charger from Mobilla is perfect for quickly charging my phone, power bank, and neckband. It’s small and lightweight, making it easy to take with me on my travels.

3. Mbuddy 761: This neckband from Mobilla is my music and calling partner. It has ENC technology for clear calls and up to 60 hours of battery life, so I can listen to music and take calls all day long.

4. A pair of glasses: I always bring a pair of glasses with me when I travel, both for style and to protect my eyes from the sun.

5. The pouch: This handy pouch holds all my essentials, including cash, hand cream, mask, and sanitizer. It’s easy to carry with me while I’m on the go. One of the things I love about the pouch is that it helps me stay organized while traveling. I can easily access everything I need, and I don’t have to worry about losing important items like my phone or wallet. For example, on a recent trip to Kashmir, I left my phone in a cab and thought it was lost forever. But thanks to the kind driver, he traveled back to return it to me. From that trip, I started keeping my phone, cash, and other essentials handy in the pouch, so I never have to worry about losing them again.

Solo travel can be an incredible experience, and having the right tools and gadgets can make all the difference. With my camera setup and supporting crew, I’m able to capture every moment of my adventures and stay connected while on the road. From my digital camera and action camera to my power bank and neckband, I have everything I need to make the most of my travels. Whether you’re a seasoned solo traveler or just starting out, I hope these tips and tricks will help you make the most of your own adventures. Happy travels!
